#GivingTuesday

Event Date: Nov, 30 2021

$14,600 raised this #GivingTuesday!

Thank you to everyone that supported our 2021 campaign! Your donation supports our aircraft collection, exhibits, facilities and educational programs that make us a world-class museum…and gave some great community members the opportunity to fly in our aircraft!

Check out photos below of LSFM Ambassador, Manuel Dodson and Vietnam Veteran, Stirling Pack, Jr. flying in our B-25 Mitchell; and League City Fire Fighter, Brock Howe flying in our PT-17 Stearman!

It’s not too late to support Lone Star Flight Museum!

League City Fire Fighter, Brock Howe flew in our PT-17 Stearman!

“Serving my community has always been a priority for me. I’m excited for the opportunity to fly in a PT- 17 Stearman, a primary trainer during WWII. It’s very similar to the training we provide recruits today in our fire and police academies. We train them on different levels of equipment before they protect and serve the public. Flying in the Stearman would be a great a honor and unforgettable experience.”

Brock has served as a Captain in the League City Fire Department for 16 years. He also volunteers as a marshaller and docent at the museum.

Vietnam Veteran, Stirling Pack, Jr. flew in our B-25 Mitchell!

“As a Vietnam Veteran and coming from a military family, I have a great amount of respect for preserving Texas aviation history and the rare aircraft that were part of it. Flying in the museum’s B-25 would be a great honor for me and a special way to connect with my father’s past WWII service.”

Stirling is active in supporting organizations that honor and recognize the sacrifices of active military and veterans. He enjoys the museum’s aircraft along with the informative, hands-on displays.

LSFM Ambassador, Manuel Dodson flew in our B-25 Mitchell!

“As an LSFM Ambassador, I have one of the coolest volunteer jobs! We get to run the flight simulators, education carts with engine parts and museum artifacts, and help visitors throughout the museum. I’d love the chance to fly on the B-25 Mitchell! To be able to actually fly in an aircraft that we usually just experience in the hangar would be so awesome!”

Manuel is a freshman at Dickenson High School. He spends his free time volunteering throughout his community.
