Honoring Oscar S. Wyatt, Jr.; former LSFM Board Member, decorated WWII pilot and Texas legend, the gala returns to the Lone Star Flight Museum hangars at Ellington Airport!

An evening of celebration and honor, entertainment and recognition. Join us as we pay tribute to Oscar S. Wyatt, Jr. and the Greatest Generation.

VIP guests will begin their evening at a private reception with Wyatt. “Glamorous Glen III” a P-51 Mustang will be at the center of the VIP reception area. The Museum’s B-25 Mitchell and PT-17 Stearman, aircraft that Wyatt flew during his service, will be the backdrop for entertainment from Champion Sisters and Richard Brown Orchestra.

The evening will be emceed by local Houston news personality, Casey Curry and will feature a seated dinner provided by City Kitchen.

Broad Stripes & Bright Stars Gala will benefit the museum’s aircraft collection, STEM education programs and the preservation of Texas aviation history.

Covid-19 Gala Precautions


• Prior to the event, all 130,000 square feet of the museum will be open for you to explore or you are welcome to go directly to your table upon arrival
• Self-parking is available near the museum entrance should you choose to forgo valet
• Gala will be held in two very large airplane hangar spaces with 45-foot ceilings and excellent air flow
• There will be a minimum of 4 feet between each table
• Guests will be seated at 72” round tables, the largest size that our space will allow
• Catering and valet staff will wear masks
• Touchless auction bidding and donations will be conducted through the Qtego app
• Donation cards will be on the tables for guests to take home should they want to donate separate from using the app (new pens will be available upon request)
• Masks and hand sanitizer will be placed at check in and around the museum for guests to use
