2021 marks the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. A 31-foot long, 8-panel photo exhibit from The National WWII Museum tells the story of the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. The timeline of photos brings to life the day that changed our country. The panels will be on display at LSFM among the museum’s WWII aircraft.

Infamy: December 7, 1941, and all relevant programs and events, are included in your general admission and free for members.

Upcoming Programming and Events

  • Saturday, November 20
    • 11 a.m. & 1 p.m.: Another Surprise at Pearl Harbor
      Presented by LSFM Head Docent, Gary Watt and League City resident, Dr. Terry Williams.
      Dr. Williams’ uncle, Col. Earl Williams, narrowly survived being shot down by Japanese fighters as part of the lesser known events during the attack on Pearl Harbor. December 7, 1941 was also the coincidental arrival of seven U.S. Army Air Corps B-17 bombers en route to the Philippines. This special presentation includes the recorded firsthand account of Col. Williams describing this suspenseful moment in history.
  • Tuesday, December 7 – 80th Anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor
    • 10 a.m & 1 p.m. – The Path to Pearl Harbor Electronic Field Trip
      The National WWII Museum student reporters will discuss why the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor led America into WWII, as well as explore historic Pearl Harbor galleries and WWII sites that still exist today.
  • Saturday, December 11
    • 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Sons and Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors
      Volunteers onsite with rare artifacts and information table.
    • 1 p.m.: December 7, 1941 & September 11, 2001: Days of Infamy
      Rick Lawrence, member of the Sons and Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors, will give a presentation comparing the attacks of 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.
