Enhance Your Field Trip Experience
Lone Star Flight Museum offers a selection of classes designed to enhance field trips or stand on their own. Each class offers an immersive aviation experience to inspire students toward the study of science, technology, engineering and math (S.T.E.M) disciplines. All classes are aligned with TEKS, national and common core standards.
Science and Engineering in Aviation
Students become familiar with the aerodynamic forces that act upon a flying aircraft and how science effects a typical flight.

Technology in Aviation
Students research and recount how Technology has evolved and transcended aviation in Texas and globally.

Numbers in Aviation: FACTS
Students become familiar with the mathematical equations, speed, distance, weight and balance requirements and other figures that are a part of a typical flying aircraft and how math effects all aspects of a typical flight. TEKS: 19 TAC Chapter 111
Texas Aviation History
Students learn the history of aviation and the roles of aircraft and its people throughout Texas aviation history.

Classes are $320 each (up to 40 students).
Special pricing available for designated groups.
Classes include exclusive access to the Waltrip Hangar.
Admission to the Museum is an additional cost of $12/student.
Classes are designed for students Grades 6-8 and are available beginning 9/5/2017. Classes are offered daily during museum operating hours, 9am - 5pm and last approximately 45 minutes.
